MAKING OF SRITHANU 2 BEDROOM SEA VIEW VILLA (SD 201)
Watch “MAKING OF SD 201 – 2-BEDROOM SEA VIEW RESIDENTIAL VILLA”
The main principle to Thai Architecture is adaptability to the elements – wind, sunlight and rain as an advantage in designing a structure. This principle is executed in a property in Srithanu area, Koh Phangan with a mix of modern and traditional materials. This is a modern Loft tropical style Seaview Villa, the first residential house made by Siam Design Team. The stilts structure which not only supports and protects from flooding the entire building but also provides elevation so that the owner can enjoy the seaview of the place. The long eaves filter sunlight and provide ambient lighting of the interior space, and the trees surrounding the house provide shade.

SD201 Render Video Tour:
This 115 square meter living space is sheltered by a high ceiling and open-plan concept that senses openness and greater traffic flow which encourages socialization and interaction gatherings. The living and kitchen area is connected to the hexagonal-shaped balcony through the use of folding doors that maximizes the spaces, overlooks the seaview, and the common spaces flow into each other without being divided by partitions. The warm ambiance is amplified through the presence of using glass windows from floor to ceiling height. Metal black glass frames compliments the white paint wall finish and a touch of wood planks. Bare concrete finish flooring and exposed columns is a unique arrangement that integrates to form a structure perfectly suited to its terrain and climate. Overall, this house is a demonstration of a well structured, specialized home, made to client’s requirements, and offering complete comfort and ease.
